Nicole Nalls Loves Thought Catalog

Personally, I don’t care for sites that have ads everywhere and force me to go on a scavenger hunt to locate the content I actually want to read, so this was the first automatic plus when I started visiting Thought Catalog. The other being the regularly updated and interesting content that makes this site/blog continuously earn both parts of its name. Tons of pages (or rather, a catalog) filled with perspectives on everything from the Four Loko principle to The United States of Tara to my personal favorite on being the editor of a magazine.
The folks at Thought Catalog never take themselves too seriously, which is exemplified in their imaginary phone interview with the increasingly odd James Franco and surprisingly accurate article on how to become unsatisfied in a long-term relationship. Although this site appeals to my need to consume as much pop culture as possible every day, they also provide culture, which helps me justify spending hours reading everything I missed before getting hooked.
Among the ten reasons the site lists for why you should read Thought Catalog: "In a small way, you’re supporting the future of journalism.” That alone is reason enough for me.
