A series that started two years ago, Sarah Van Marcke explored the place of the human body in an urban environment.
"In this work the human body is trying to be a part of this environment by manipulating, hiding, and giving away the identity to take the identity of, for example, a piece of hedge, a concrete column or log of wood. But they never quite succeed. Sometimes they are well hidden, but most of the time their weird behavior just accentuates their presence. I sometimes like to play with the futile positions of the human body in contrast with huge architectural creations."-OurArtSite interview excerpt
