Pretty:darn:swell (Prettydarnswell.com) is an online gallery dedicated to pairing emerging artists with burgeoning art collectors while raising money for charity. Despite living thousands of miles apart, brother-sister team Wade and Lynne Penhorwood created the site out their mutual admiration of art (Wade’s an artist and Lynne’s a collector) and the belief that art can change the world. Ranging from tree-planting campaigns to organizations that provide nourishing meals to people with diseases like HIV/AIDS, the charities are as varied as the artists themselves. And with $5 being donated from the sale of every $20 print, giving and receiving won’t cost you a bundle.
