Quick condoms for quickies  Issue #33 Issue #33

These rubbers make getting it on even easier

With Pronto condoms, guys have no excuse for not wearing protection — or so we’d like to hope. The Pronto comes with a quick applicator so the condom pretty much snaps right on.

Invented in 2001 in South Africa where nearly 1,000 people die from the AIDS/HIV virus every day, a pack of three Pronto condoms sell for the same price as regular condoms, 22 Rand, which translates to about $3.16. So far, they are only sold in South Africa, but like Volvo cars and Nutella, just about every good idea usually makes it to the States at some point. On the company’s Web site, prontocondoms.co.za, you can view two entertaining demo videos — one of which involves an erect carrot being protected from STDs, STIs, and possible childcare payments.
