Anyone who can play drums and sing at the same time is worth listening to. Bunky’s Emily Joyce is no exception. The band’s first album, Born To Be a Motorcycle (Asthmatic Kitty), is an adorable pop-rock record that could be the soundtrack for a children’s show with horns, dueling vocals, and songs like “Baba,” “Yes/No,” and “Gotta Pee.” Here, Joyce addresses a subject that’s not for kids.
I caught my boss looking at Internet porn in his office the other day. We both acted like nothing happened, but I still feel really weird around him. Should I talk to him or someone else at the office about it? — Darcy, Kalamazoo, Michigan
I hate to generalize, but in case you didn’t know this, all men look at porn. You don’t have to like it, but don’t feel any weirder around yer bossman than any other post-adolescent male. If it were me, I would tease my boss mercilessly and inappropriately — just enough to make him feel un-comfy, not get you fired — and then use his slack work ethic to model your own behavior. You now have a license to use the last hour of your day to find shoes on eBay.
