It's been a while since I’ve tried on a pair of heels at a shoe store. I've long renounced them as impractical because they slow my stride and make running nearly impossible. That is, until a gifted sales girl convinced me to try on a pair of Corso Como boots. Handmade in Brazil, these babies have a flexible sole outside and six layers of comfort inside — so you actually have a fighting chance when trying to catch the bus.
Liz Korutz is Venus Zine's associate art director.
