Chrissy Lush loves Paolo Ventura's Winter Stories

One of my
favorite photographers, Paolo Ventura uses miniature sets that he
designs. Ventura's Winter Stories series of images suggest a dreamlike
childhood, and his approach is innovative and refreshing. Ventura's
work plays on the senses — at first glance, the images appear to be of
real people, but look closer and you will see the handmade construction
of the environment. Check out the exhibit at Hasted Hunt Gallery (529 W. 20th St., 3rd Floor in New York City) until April 12.
