Scheduled to launch in 2010/11, KEO, a time capsule, will send messages from today's civilization into the future. How far into the future? A mere 50,000 years.
Among other things, KEO will also carry samples of air, sea, water, earth, a drop of human blood and photographs of people from all cultures.
