Jake Giles loves Nutella

I'm of the opinion that it's never too early for chocolate. However, to ease my guilty conscience for not eating something breakfast-y like oatmeal, there's Nutella. This chocolate hazelnut spread is the Swiss pocket-knife of a sweeter breakfast; you can spread it on bread, waffles, bagles, or simply spoon from the jar. In many parts of Europe, early-risers make this a standard part of their breakfast. They even have little packets suitable for one slice of bread or bagel.
Personally, I prefer Nutella on what I lovingly call Reeses Toast; take a couple of slices of wheat bread (so you can pretend you're being healthy) and toast them to your liking. Next, spread a large knife-full of your favorite brand of peanut butter (JIF with a touch of honey). Finally, spoon as much Nutella as your stomach allows and swirl it with the peanut butter. Pour a glass of cold milk and enjoy the sinful delight of chocolate in the a.m.
