The moment I saw the commercial for the Goody Spin Pins, I knew I had to get my hands on them. There was something about the way the girl on TV twisted the weird metal-looking thing into her hair to create a perfect bun: loose and natural, yet sophisticated and cute.
Unfortunately, I couldn’t find them at my local Walgreens or CVS. So for weeks (and this is not a joke), I had dreams of using the cork-screw hair-holder because I had never seen anything like it.
Then one day at the store, my sister approached me and said, “Look at this! They say one of these things will replace up to twenty bobby-pins!” I grabbed the little box and gave her a big hug.
Shaped like a double-helix, the Goody Spin Pins are durable and easy to use. Two of the major selling points for me are that they don’t damage locks like elastics and bobby-pins and they don’t leave those unsightly creases in your hair if you decide to take it down. Instead, I’ve been pleased with the natural wave and texture the Spin Pins give my hair.
These innovative little swirls by Goody are the most fun I’ve had with hair doo-dads since the invention of the snap clip. Truly, they are everything I dreamed they would be!
