Read this before you throw away your old cell phone

Have you upgraded your cell phone and don’t know what to do with the old one? Now you can donate it to the Call To Protect campaign run by the Wireless Foundation, a nonprofit organization that assists American communities through wireless technology. The foundation either refurbishes the phones with minutes and distributes them to domestic-violence shelters for survivors to use in case of emergency or resells the phones to fund domestic-violence campaigns and other programs. Wirelessfoundation.org provides addresses of nationwide drop-off locations as well as pre-paid mailing labels, info on how to start your own collection, and educational guides for how to be a safe and courteous cell phone user.
