Hey sugar
Issue #20
This “mojito” is actually good for you

Cool down this summer with a different kind of mojito. Inspired by the minty Cuban cocktail, this skin-softening scrub is mighty kind to your skin. Peppermint oil is inherently cooling, and sugar granules slough away dead cells.
1/2 cup brown or turbinado sugar
3 tsp almond oil
1/4 tsp rum (or rum extract, if you’re a teetotaler)
10–15 drops peppermint oil
Sprig of mint, if you want to get fancy about it
Combine the ingredients in a bowl and mix well. Slather the scrub over wet skin. Rinse yourself off in the shower.
(My inner Matlock wants to remind you, lovely reader, that this is the sort of recipe that goes on your body, not inside it.)
