INSTRUCTIONS
1. Start with a wine box, that can be picked up from a local wine/spirits shop. Separate all sides of the box. You will only need one of the long side panels with the company stamps.
2. Stain the front of the wood panel and let dry as directed.
3. Once the wood is fully dry, mark a measurement 2 inches in on either side of the top of the wood panel. Place a screw-eye where the 2-inch marks were made.
4. Mark 1 inch from the top and 2 inches in on both sides of the front of the panel. Place a nail where marks were made (these will be “top nails”). Nails should be hammered in far enough to hold slightly heavy items, but sticking out far enough for items to hang freely.
5. Place nails in alternate spaces about 3 inches apart, creating a first row along the bottom of the panel. The second row should be about 1 1/2 inches higher than the first row. And again, nails are 3 inches apart from each other on row #2. The number of nails used depends on the length of the side panel, so you decide how many you need.
6. Cut memory wire to a length necessary to stretch between the two “top nails” you hammered in, with a couple of inches of allowance at both ends for wrapping. Wrap one end of the memory wire around the top nail on the right side. Pull tight and wrap the other end of the wire around the left top nail.
7. Place panel on wall. Place nail through screw-eyes and hammer away.
8. You’re set! Hang earrings along the memory wire. Necklaces and bracelets hang on individual nails.
