Link Love: Poppytalk

Our blog has evolved so much since we started it that it has taken it's own direction. Just like our decor, we like to change things around a lot, to keep from getting bored or stale. With that, our blog visits change – sometimes it goes in a graphical direction and we visit a lot of blogs with that in mind, sometimes we have our feet in the home decorating pie (which seems to be taking up a lot of our time as of late), and other times, we just like to bask in the artistic sun and enjoy looking at all the beautiful art out there. So besides our staples (Apartment Therapy, Design Sponge, Oh Joy, Camilla Engman, and Lisa's Musings), here are a few new ones we're visiting. (A funny thing, we don't visit sites as often as we would like, because we're too busy blogging ourselves).

Janine of Uppercase has an amazing eye, not just for the things she blogs about, but for her gallery, all the shows she puts on, her designs of amazing paper goods, and her fun shop. Our favorite is her Type Tuesday posts where she finds the most amazing imagery on typography.
Perfect Bound

Julie and Kathryn are more Canadians who have a keen eye for design and style. We love the amazing photo's they take to accompany each post; they are always styled so well, and work with each subject to a tee.
Cafe Cartolina

Cafe Cartolina is a fairly new blog (just started up this summer) by paper goods designer Fiona Richards of Cartolina. She has a natural talent for the gift of a good story to go along with her posts on beautiful design.

Andrea is a word-smith and an amazing photographer, and her blog is a great place to go to cheer up, be inspired, and learn how to enjoy life.
My Lalaland

Being a visual-inclined person, I'm always inspired by the photo's of Alison Garnett from mylalaland.com. Her daily blog is a visual one, and she has an amazing talent for taking photos.

Poppytalk is a Canadian (Vancouver-based) design blog dedicated to collecting inspiration and promoting emerging design talent. The husband and wife team (Jan and Earl) both share background in design – Jan in graphic arts and Earl in new media as a designer and instructor.
They are also the founders of Poppytalk Handmade, a curated monthly online marketplace for handmade goods and vintage items.
