The new CD by Chicago electronic band TRS-80 is infused with just enough humor and humanity to make electronica palatable to folks who are otherwise ignorant of the genre. The members, Jay, Deb, and Kent, have a well-developed sense of kitsch and use it to their advantage for several songs on this CD. With song titles like "Fantasy Football Is Stupid" and "Terrible Monster Attacking Crew," you know from the start you're in for a good time. They even treat us to a snippet of ABBA and a sample of boy band puppets O-Town being berated by one of their handlers. While I concede that I am not a big fan of electronic music in general, these songs are well-crafted and clever enough to convert me to their crusade to kick ass.<a href=" www.invisiblerecords.com">www.invisiblerecords.com</a>
