Mining the array of DIY designers hawking goods on Etsy, eBay, and everywhere else is both dizzying and inspiring in 2010. Here, we've gathered some of the top talents who've really exploded this year. There's a paper doll specialist (the Black Apple, now Etsy's #1 seller with a book due out this fall); an eco-friendly jeweler (Figs and Ginger); a hand-dyed yarn shop (Hello Yarn); a popular illustration and stationery store (Boygirlparty); and artist Jane Mount, whose "Ideal Bookshelf" paintings exploded this year.
